Overview:

If you are specifying a kit for a mobile application, such as agricultural, mobile fumigation (such as poultry houses), or right-of-way spraying, hydraulic atomizers and a hydraulic powersource will clearly be your first choice. Why Hydraulic?

• Highest power-to weight ratio- 6 HP Proptec motor weighs only 1 Kg (2.2 pounds). 6 HP electric motor weighs about 24 kilos (50 pounds)
• very high overall efficiency- as high as 82% overall system efficiency
• incredibly durable and rugged in mobile or hostile environments

Hydraulic atomizers are also specified for some stationary or portable applications where high fluid flow rates or high volume air assist is required. If your application is stationary, you will probably choose electric atomizers for their simplicity of installation and use. If so, you can skip the Power Sources section- you don't need one. Go right to Atomizers.

Proptec Kits using hydraulic powered atomizers (PT50 and PT100 series Atomizers) can be specified with or without a power source- you are free to source your own. Ledebuhr Industries offers four different power sources to accommodate your unique spraying needs: Gasoline self-powered models, tractor PTO-powered models, tractor hydraulics-powered models, and electro-hydraulic powerpacks.

The SD Series can accommodate up to 4 PT100 atomizers, or 8 PT50 atomizers, and is completely self-contained; it requires no tractor PTO, no electric connection, and no remote hydraulics.

This series also allows the use of small tractors or utility vehicles for spraying due to its self-contained electric or belt-driven pumps, its affordability, and its ease of use.

 

Available with an auxillary circuit allowing use of hydrualic drive pump or control cylinders.

• No need to buy a larger tractor for your sprayer; in fact, no need for a tractor at all!

Tractor Hydraulics-Powered Systems

Primary Advantages:

• Lowest cost option offered- excellent for entry level users.
• Incredibly lightweight.
• Requires very minimal maintenance- annual filter change periodic cleaning of oil cooler fins.

Not actually a power system in itself, This Kit relies on your tractor or skidder's existing hydraulic system to power the atomizers. The Kit provides the following features:

• High pressure filtration Cleans the oil from the tractor.
• Priority valve allows exact oil flow to atomizers (prevents overspeed). Adjustable if you want to add heads later.
• High capacity quality oil cooler with 12 volt fan turns on automatically once oil is hot, returns cool, clean oil to tractor.
• Check valves to prevent reverse hookup of hoses, and to allow atomizers to "coast". Your operator can't screw this up!

Tractor hydraulic power is an excellent option for entry level growers desiring a 2-4 atomizer sprayer, or in certain cases, (such as when used with John Deere 4000 series tractors with load sense systems) for sprayers up to 6, PT100 or 12, PT50 Atomizers.

To operate a chem pump when using tractor hydraulics powered atomizers, use either the tractor PTO with a direct mounted centrifugal or roller pump, or the tractor electrical system with a 12 Volt Diaphragm pump. For more info on this, see the Chem Systems Section.

Tractors Shown To Operate Well With The SD-TH Series:

• FORD T, TN, and TNF 55-95 series: Can operate 2-4 atomizers.
• John Deere 5200 and 5300 series: Can operate 3-4 atomizers.
• John Deere 4600 series: Can operate up to 6 atomizers.
• Kubota 4000 and 6000 Series: Can operate 2-3 atomizers.
• Massey Ferguson: Can operate 2-3 atomizers.

Electric Motor Powered Hydraulic Powersources

EP Powerpacks offer a simplified, modular approach to using hydraulic atomizers in stationary applications. Small, easy to handle, rugged, and suprisingly affordable, simply place 1 EP powerpack in close proximity to each hydraulic atomizer configuration. Eliminate the complicated valving and expensive long hose runs required when using one powerpack to drive multiple atomizers.

Primarily for use in stationary applications like machine tools, stacks, or other industrial processes.
