When It comes to canopy penetration, it’s all about air volume- pushing the air out of the canopy and replacing it with spray-laden air is what makes air-assisted sprayers qualitatively better. On a 5’ spacing, Proptec PT100 atomizers have nearly 2000 CFM of air assistance per foot of boom- far more air volume than any other air-boom type sprayer.

Times when Proptec isn't the best:

• bare soil application: if there is no canopy to absorb the air energy, and catch the fine drops, you'll drift, and nobody wants that.
• fusarium sprays in wheat: to protect your wheat from fusarium, you need to cover the heads- anything else is wasted. The air assist and fine droplets that make Proptec so good for other applications blow right past the heads and into the canopy.
