AccuStaltic Multiple channel metering pumps

Pump Input Shaft Details

Accu-Staltic pump rotors are built and stocked standard with shaft ends 1 and 2 shown below for maximum flexibility. A rotor can be easily installed for right- or left-hand drive needs.

If these options do not suit your needs, a preferable alternative to a custom shaft may be the Shaft Extension Kit. This converts shaft end '1' to a 1", ¼" keyed shaft, for easy application of a coupler, or for ganging multiple pumps together. custom diameters can easily be machined.

Shaft ends:

Pump Shaft

Female End: for applications powered by a hydraulic motor that use a 4-hole square mount similar to a CharLynn motor with a 1" dia. by 1.68" long shaft. Transition plate provided to direct-mount motor to pump.

Pump Shaft

Male end, Standard configuration for non-driven shaft ends, or where the end installtion will require a coupler. Provided with .375" bore to receive rotary encoder shafts and # 806 woodruff key (1/4" x 3/4") for secure coupler attachment.

If the motor has adequate torque, 2 or more pumps can be mechanically coupled and driven together. If you desire to do this, order a 'left' and a 'right' configured pump for ease of coupling.

Instructions for 1 inch shaft adapter, for use with Accu-Staltic™CP5125XX series, 1.25" hollow-bored shaft pumps.

Shaft ImageThe Kit includes 3 pieces:

  • Six-inch shaft with a full length, ¼" keyway
  • ¼" keystock
  • 1.25" ID clamping collar
Assembly: Apply anti-sieze to the 1" shaft before inserting. The shaft should be fully inserted into the pump shaft, with at least 1" of key firmly seated in the keyway. Note: the tolerances are very close. The key may have to be lightly filed, or the two shafts may have to be tapped together. USE ONLY SOFT FACED HAMMERS TO STRIKE THE SHAFTS! If the 1" shaft needs to be removed, use a gear puller on the coupler to remove it. Do not tap the shaft loose! Irreparable damage can result to the 1.25" shaft.

Shaft ImageCut the shaft and deburr it to the necessary length to fit a Lovejoy or other style coupling inside the motor mounting bracket that you will need to fabricate (not included). Four, 5/16-18 threaded mount holes are provided on the pump endplates, spaced at the corners of a 3.5" square, concentric to the shaft.

Slide the clamping collar over the 1.25" shaft so that the split on the collar and the split on the shaft are lined up, and there is just enough room to tighten the set screw.
